Shop Front Flat Roof Replacement – Worthing, West Sussex

We recently completed a shop front flat roof replacement in Worthing, West Sussex, replacing a failing frontage roof area with a new durable waterproof system designed to protect the building properly and improve long-term performance.

This type of roof is often overlooked until leaks begin affecting the frontage, internal shop area, or masonry below. In this case, the existing roof covering had deteriorated and was no longer providing the level of protection needed, so we carried out a full replacement to ensure the area was made fully weatherproof once again.

After removing the old roof covering, we prepared the structure, renewed the deck where required, and installed a new high-performance torch-on felt flat roofing system to create a strong and reliable finish.

Scope of Works
• Removal of the existing failing flat roof covering
• Strip back of defective materials
• Preparation of the roof area and substrate
• Installation of new timber decking / boarding where required
• Formation of a sound base for the new system
• Installation of a new 3-layer high-performance torch-on felt roofing system
• Detailing around window bases, brickwork, edges, and outlets
• Finishing works to ensure the roof was fully sealed and weatherproof

Shop Front Roofing Upgrade

Shop front roofs are particularly important, as any failure can quickly lead to water ingress into the frontage, internal ceilings, display areas, or structural elements below.

By renewing this roof properly, we were able to provide the building with a much more reliable waterproof finish while also improving the overall condition and appearance of the frontage roof area.

The Result

The completed roof now provides a clean, secure, and fully watertight finish, helping to protect the property from further water ingress and extending the life of the structure.

Another successful flat roof replacement completed in Worthing, West Sussex, with a durable and professional result built to last.
