Industrial Unit Roof Raise & Structural Steel Installation Completed in Farnham
Another major structural roofing and steelwork project successfully completed by the team, this time on an industrial unit in Farnham, where extensive modification works were required to bring the building up to the required specifications for Class 7 MOT testing regulations.
The existing building did not provide the necessary internal head height required for Class 7 vehicle testing, meaning the entire roof structure needed to be modified and raised by approximately 1 metre to meet compliance standards.
This involved significant structural alterations, including removal of the existing roof system, installation of new steelwork throughout, new structural purlins, and reinstatement of the insulated roofing system.
A technically demanding project requiring both structural and roofing expertise.
Scope of Works Completed
For this project our team carried out:
✔ Full structural modification of existing industrial unit roof
✔ Roof height increased by approximately 1 metre to meet Class 7 MOT head height regulations
✔ Installation of all new structural steel framework
✔ New steel supports fitted throughout the structure
✔ Installation of brand new steel purlins to support the new roof structure
✔ Existing roof system carefully removed during structural works
✔ Reinstallation of insulated corrugated roofing sheet panels
✔ Full alignment, weatherproofing, and structural checks completed
✔ Building successfully modified to meet required operational standards
