Full House Re-Roof Completed in Hook, Hampshire
The TCG South Roofing team recently completed this full re-roof in Hook, Hampshire, completely renewing the roof covering and providing the property with a modern, durable roofing system designed for long-term protection.
This was a substantial roofing project requiring full scaffolding around the property and the removal of the existing roof covering before the new roof system could be installed.
As the photographs show, the roof was systematically stripped back before the installation of a new breathable roofing membrane and new treated battens, creating the correct foundation for the new roof covering.
Complete Roof Replacement
With a full re-roof, the work beneath the finished tiles is every bit as important as the part you ultimately see.
Once the existing covering had been removed, the roof structure could be properly exposed and inspected. The new roofing membrane was then installed across the roof, followed by new battens carefully positioned ready for the new tiles.
The drone photographs provide a great view of this stage of the project and show just how much work goes into a complete roof replacement before the finished tiles are installed.
New Roof Tiles & Dry Ridge System
The roof was then completely retiled, transforming both the appearance and weather protection of the property.
A modern mechanically fixed dry ridge system was installed rather than relying solely on traditional mortar bedding. The hip and ridge detailing was carefully completed, together with the areas surrounding the chimney and roof junctions.
The result is a smart, clean and extremely substantial new roof that complements the property while providing long-term protection from the British weather.
Building Control Inspected & Fully Signed Off
Importantly, this wasn’t simply a case of completing the roof and moving onto the next job.
Building Control attended the property, inspected the roofing work and the completed project was fully signed off.
That provides the homeowner with the reassurance that the relevant work has been independently inspected as part of the Building Regulations process.
