New Oak Porch Installation & Entrance Renovation – Leatherhead, Surrey
We recently completed a full front entrance transformation on a property in Leatherhead, Surrey, including the construction of a brand-new bespoke oak porch, rebuilt front steps, new tiled roof installation, and all associated leadwork detailing.
The original entrance area had become dated and weathered over time, with failing steps and a small canopy that no longer complemented the character of the property. The client wanted to create a more substantial and traditional entrance feature that would improve both appearance and practicality.
Scope of Works Completed:
* Removal of the existing porch canopy and defective entrance steps
* Construction of a new handcrafted structural oak porch
* Installation of new oak posts, beams, braces, and framework
* New pitched porch roof construction
* Installation of new roof tiles to match the existing property
* New lead flashing and leadwork detailing installed throughout
* Full rebuild of the front entrance steps using quality brickwork
* New entrance platform and finishing works completed
The new oak porch was designed to give the property a more traditional and premium appearance while also providing increased shelter and long-term durability. The natural oak frame creates a strong feature entrance that blends perfectly with the age and style of the house.
Particular attention was given to the roof detailing and leadwork to ensure the new structure is fully weatherproof and built to last. The rebuilt brick steps and entrance area also provide a much cleaner and more solid access point to the property.
The Result
The completed project has completely transformed the front elevation of the home, creating a high-end entrance feature with a timeless oak finish and traditional craftsmanship throughout.
The combination of structural oak carpentry, new tiled roofing, bespoke leadwork, and rebuilt masonry has given the property a far more substantial and visually impressive appearance while significantly improving durability and weather protection.
