Flat Roof Replacement & Skylight Refurbishment – Guildford, Surrey
We recently completed a full flat roof replacement project on a residential property in Guildford, Surrey, where the existing roofing system had reached the end of its serviceable life and was showing signs of deterioration.
Following a detailed inspection, it was clear that the existing roof covering and timber decking required complete renewal to provide a long-term waterproof solution and protect the property from future water ingress.
Scope of Works Completed

Once the roof had been stripped back, new timber decking was installed across the entire area, creating a solid and stable substrate ready for the new waterproofing system.
Special care was taken around the existing rooflights to ensure all detailing was completed correctly, preventing future water ingress around these vulnerable areas. The rooflights were retained and incorporated into the new roofing system with fully sealed upstands and waterproof flashings.

The new roofing specification consisted of a premium 3-layer torch-on felt system, chosen for its durability, longevity, and proven performance on residential and commercial flat roofs.
