Box Gutter Replacement Project Completed in Farnborough
Another roofing project successfully completed by the team in Farnborough, where we were called out to investigate ongoing water ingress issues being caused by a failing box gutter system that had significantly deteriorated over time.
Following a full inspection, it was clear the existing gutter system had reached the end of its serviceable life. Years of exposure to the elements, standing water, ageing materials, and general wear had caused the waterproofing system to fail, creating several vulnerable areas where water penetration had started to occur.
To prevent further damage to the property, a full strip-out and replacement of the existing system was required.
Scope of Works Completed
For this project, our team carried out:
✔ Full removal of the existing failed box gutter system
✔ Safe strip back and disposal of old waterproofing materials
✔ Inspection and preparation of the existing substrate
✔ Installation of a brand new high-performance 3-layer torch-on felt roofing system
✔ Heat bonded waterproof membrane applied throughout
✔ Waterproof detailing completed around all outlets, joints and edges
✔ Full weatherproof sealing and final inspection carried out
The newly installed 3-layer felt system provides a strong, long-lasting waterproof barrier designed specifically to cope with standing water, structural movement, and the demanding weather conditions we regularly experience here in the UK.
